Mambo'o D27 (real name Neves Zola Sebastiao) was born in 1990 and is originally from Zaire Province in Angola.

Neves Zola Sebastiao began painting at the age of 14 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasha, Democratic Republic of the Congo, from 2008 to 2011. Shortly after completing his studies, he worked alongside the Congolese artist Moke Fils. Following Moke’s departure for France, he decided to leave Kinshasha and base himself in Luanda to continue his career as a painter and graphic artist. In 2018 he met up again with Moke Fils, with whom he works in his studio in Dijon.

His graphic art evokes the everyday, events lived in Angola, the Congo and France, through realism, impressionism, expressionism and abstraction. He depicts his surroundings in oils, acrylic and collages made from discarded objects. He has participated in several exhibitions in the Congo and in Angola, and was meant to exhibit his work in Dijon and Brussels during 2020, until the COVID-19 pandemic forced the exhibitions to be postponed to 2021.

The projects he intends to develop during his residency are masks, reality, the everyday life of Africans in Europe, and several portraits of important figures who have fought for the good of humankind.
