The Château de Goutelas welcomes artists from all creative disciplines throughout the year. The peaceful setting of the castle is particularly conducive to work in writing (literary or dramatic), choreography, art, music and artistic research. Interactions with the public during the residency (for example workshops or open rehearsals) enable artists to share their creative work and present the key phases of the project to local people. The preferred format is a short residency of several weeks, always concluding with a public event. Once of the strengths of the residencies is the support given by the association’s volunteer team, which facilitates informal encounters with the local population.
