Residency project:

“During the residency at L’Esparrou, my first concern will be getting to know the local community and immersing myself in its way of life. While meeting new people and making new connections, I also want to experience the extraordinary light of the French Riviera, which has captivated creators through the ages and which I seek to capture in my original technique, where I blend painting and printmaking to give voice to unique human stories. In my distinct artistic hand, I want to recreate the light and colour of this exceptional region in acrylic compositions, achieved by balancing the counterforces of chromatic layering and stripping on a canvas plane. I will make the resulting body of work – my visual journal of the South of France – publicly available in an exhibition.”
