Junior Esseba (real name Bruno Moise Esseba), is an actor, director and socio-cultural promoter. He is heavily involved in theatre in his native Cameroon, particularly in Yaoundé where he plays an active role in the cultural, educational and artistic life of the capital. He is particularly keen to promote theatre to young audiences.
Bruno Moise Esseba’s work focuses on societal and educational issues, and he tries to directly involve the children he works with in his productions.
During his residency at the Domaine de La Vergne, Maison Maria Casarès, Bruno Moise Esseba worked to develop his writing project ‘Dans la suite d'un Petit Prince’, the ultimate aim being its theatrical adaptation for performance in Yaoundé in 2020.
The project’s raison d’etre is as a social intervention, in particular to raise awareness of issues linked to the environment, biodiversity and climate change. The text is a plea on behalf of the earth and its constituent elements. Performances will take place within partner schools of the Association Culturelle Théâtre en Folie, of which Junior Esseba is the coordinator.
