The Abbey of Fontevraud (49) offers an inspiring and relaxing setting in an exceptional historical building for the authors of animated films, for the duration of a month's residence. The abbey offers two distinct residency periods: one in October 2023 for French applicants and a second in April 2024 for non-French applicants living outside of France.

All film formats are accepted, including short and feature films, animated documentaries, TV series, art installations, transmedia projects and virtual reality.

Conceived as a creative laboratory, this residency program has welcomed more than 200 authors and animation directors from 45 different countries since 2006. This represents the realization of more than seventy films in all formats.

This residency program is co-produced by NEF Animation and Fontevraud Abbey with the support of the Odyssée program coordinated by the ACCR and financed by the Ministry of Culture.
