Hospitality & Creation meetings on 27 September 2024 in Paris

The second edition of the ACCR's ‘Hospitality & Creation’ meeting will be held on Friday 27 September at the Irish Cultural Centre in the 5th arrondissement of Paris.

The ACCR is organising the ‘Hospitalité & création - Résidences et artistes en exil’ (Hospitality & Creation - Residencies and artists in exile) conference, which will involve sharing experiences, hearing first-hand accounts, presenting referral structures and support tools, and looking at the support given to refugee artists and cultural professionals in France, beyond the residency period. With over twenty years' experience in coordinating residency programmes, the ACCR aims to extend its commitment and encourage encounters between artists and the institutional and cultural players involved in this field.

/ The Nora residency programme

Since 2016, the Nora programme, coordinated by the ACCR, has welcomed over 70 artists in exile, mainly from countries in open conflict including Syria, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Ukraine, Afghanistan and Russia.

The aim of this programme is to help artists return to cultural and artistic activity, with the help of the Centres culturels de rencontre, places of memory and creation in the heart of France. These residencies are also opportunities to discover the French cultural networks and to forge lasting links with the professionals of the Centres culturels de rencontres and their partners.
