The writer, actor and director Ariel Farace studied dramaturgy at the Metropolitan School of Dramatic Arts in Buenos Aires, and Literature at the University of Buenos Aires. A number of his works have been presented in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Germany and Spain.
From 2017-2018, Ariel Farace worked as a curator at the National Theatre of Argentina; he created the publishing house Libros Drama and coordinated writing workshops in Argentina and abroad.
During his residency at the Chartreuse de Villeneuve-lez-Avignon in 2019, Farace worked on his new theatre piece ‘Un dià, une vida’ (provisional title), which looks at the ‘voice’, a unique voice that speaks of transits and experiences in different towns and contexts. A voice that is interpreted by bodies and voices to express a subjectivity which is not individual but contemporary. Ariel Farace envisaged that the writing process for this new piece would incorporate the stylistic techniques of fiction and non-fiction to combine contemporary and historical stories.
