Supported by the Interministerial Delegation for the Mediterranean of the French Government, the Fanak Fund is pleased to launch the NURUS program (Arabic name for "Seagull").
NURUS aims to support applications for mobility assistance from artists and/or cultural operators as part of projects that aim to popularize environmental issues among populations.
Purpose of the trip
The purpose of the proposed trip must be one of the following:
- creation of a work related to the environmental issue.
- animation of artistic workshops related to this theme, particularly for young people or local populations.
- artistic or cultural actions to raise awareness of this theme.
- network meetings, conferences, seminars on this theme.
- pre-production meetings on this theme.
- artistic participation in more general actions on this theme.

Nature and process of the call and applications
The call for applications will remain open for 45 days after its opening date, i.e. until February 12, 2025 at midnight French time. Any application received after this date will not be eligible.
The Executive Board of the Fanak Fund will then assess the eligibility of the applications received and will then forward each eligible file to two experts from the Fanak Fund.
They will have one month to evaluate and rate the applications.
The Executive Board will then make the final selection of beneficiaries, ensuring different balances: gender, discipline, country.
It is mandatory to mention the possible use of software to assist with text design (Chat GPT, etc.)
Administrative and financial operation
The application must be submitted with an estimate of expenses signed by the candidate.
Selected candidates will receive a contract proposal.
Once this contract is signed and the estimate confirmed, 70% of the amount committed will be paid, the final 30% being paid after receipt of the final report. Bank transfers will be the responsibility of the Fanak Fund.
Beneficiaries will have one year to complete the planned mobility; from the day the contracts are signed by both parties. They must submit a final report in the form that suits them (texts, images, recordings, free of copyright).
