CORRIDOR project - Launch of the first phase

The first phase of the CORRIDOR project was officially launched during a visit to Benin by a ACCR delegation on 4-8 November 2024.

The aim of the CORRIDOR project is to consolidate the CCRI's role as a catalyst for regional development and tourism through its activities dedicated to building the skills (digital, tourism, etc.) of young people in Ouidah in order to prepare them for the professional challenges of tomorrow, and to supporting young artists from Benin and the sub-Saharan region by offering them work residencies, personalised support and opportunities for visibility.

This project is run by the ACCR and the Centre Culturel de Rencontre International John Smith (CCRI), supported and financed by the AFD - Agence Française de Développement, the Benin Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, the Ouidah Town Hall, the International Association of Francophone Mayors and the Association of Friends of the CCRI John Smith.

The cooperation agreement between the ACCR and the CCRI was signed in the presence of Hubert Tassy, Chairman of the ACCR, Laure Weisgerber, Director of AFD in Benin, Eric Folly Totah, Director of the Cabinet of the Benin Minister for Tourism, Culture and the Arts, and councillors from the Ouidah commune.
